Indoor playgroups, play spaces, open play areas etc. If you are looking for somewhere fun and free/cheap to bring your young kids this fall/winter, be sure to check out some of these play spaces and playgroups!  You are bound to meet some new friends for yourself and your littles.  

Please make sure you check ahead of time when weather is bad (snow or freezing temperatures) or it is a holiday, and note that there is always the chance of a last minute closure.

Saugerties
  • WeBe Play Center
    • begins Monday November 27
    • pre-school aged youth and parents can stay warm while getting out built up energy!  (adult supervision required)
    • The Webe Play Center is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10am - 1pm.
    • School Holidays and Snow/weather closings will be at the coordinators discretion.  Will be closed on all federal holidays.
    • Located at the Donlon Auditorium at 43 Partition Street, Saugerties NY (above the firehouse, enter through double white doors on left).
    • You can park on the street or in the lot around back



  • Connect and Play Library Playgroup
    • 10:30-11:30
    • Connect and play with other parents and children, 3 months to 4 year, for a child play/ discussion group.  
    • Great opportunity to connect, share ideas and learn while your young children interact and socialize.

Kingston
  • Replace the Parks
    • Pre-school aged youth and parents or caregivers (required to stay)
    • Open December 5 through March 22, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9-2
      • The Replace the Parks will be on break from December 23-January 3.
    • Located at Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center, 467 Broadway, Kingston NY 
    • If Kingston City Schools are closed or on a delay, the program will not take place.  (including holiday closures)



Lake Katrine
  • MOPS
    • A group for moms!  Twice a month meetings with other local moms.  There are guest speakers, crafts, snacks, grown up conversations!
    • Free childcare during the meeting
    • 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month (September - May)
    • Mops is located at 160 Seremma Ct., Lake Katrine NY




Columbia County
Our Circle Time playgroups are available in two towns across Columbia County. They meet for two hours in Valatie, and Hudson. Young children ( birth to age 5 years) and their parents and caregivers have an opportunity to meet, socialize and take a break from their daily routines.
  • Hudson Circle Time Playgroup
    • Pre-school aged kids and their parents/caregivers have the opportunity to meet, play and socialize!
    • Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:30am to 11:30am, October through May
    • Christ Church Episcopal, 431 Union Street, Hudson NY (Enter at the ramp and meet upstairs in the children's playroom.)
  • Valatie Playgroup
    • Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:00 am to noon
    • Martin H. Glynn Municipal Building, Room 210, 3211 Church St. Valatie, NY 12184 (Parking in rear of building, enter door on the far left hand side of the building.  LOOK FOR Family Resource Centers SIGN)
