Are you looking for something different for your child's birthday?  I found the perfect company for you!  The Character Closet, in Palenville, NY.

Back in July, I was at the Saugerties 4th of July parade with my girls.  My dad, down on Long Island, texted me a picture of a float of princesses in his parade.  I texted him back how my girls would be so jealous that we didn't have any princesses in ours.  Which they were... then 5 minutes later a float of princesses went by!  A few months later, we went to a friend's birthday party and Elena was there!  The girls were star struck!  They both were asking for princesses at their next birthdays.

But then my little one decided she wanted a "Dinosaur Princess Ballerina" Party.... uhhhhh what??  So we lessened that down to a plain old "Dinosaur Party!"  But what about The Character Closet?  I was so excited to have this new local party entertainer in the next town over.... But a Princess didn't really fit the theme anymore.  What's a 3 year old Dino-loving mom to do?

That's when I remembered talking to Courtney, the owner of The Character Closet, about her new venture.... The Creation Station.  With The Creation Station, you can build and adopt your very own furry friend at the comfort of your home!   So I went to her website, and checked out the options, and was so excited when I saw 3 dinosaurs to choose from (as well as over 70 other animals and some special holiday options).

How about the party?

The party was great.  All I did was invite a few of my daughter's friends, get some food and decorations, and arranged the time for Courtney to come over!  She brought everything we needed for the animal adoptions.

First, we started with coloring special birthday t-shirts for the dinosaurs.

Each child got to choose their very own dinosaur.  Then the stuffing began!

The kids got as much filling as needed, and with help from Courtney or a parent, they filled their dinos up!  Can you tell they loved this part?

Each child got to go home with their very own 16" Dinosaur, a t-shirt, a sound module for inside the animal, and an adoption certificate!  We even made a baby T-Rex for my tiniest one! I am so happy with The Creation Station.

You can find the Character Closet on Facebook, Instagram, twitter and on the web!  Head over and check them out!
