My girls were so excited to get to go on a road trip to a farm. When I told them all the fun included with the farm admission, they were pumped! Constantly bringing it up for weeks until the day finally came!
We decided to spend the afternoon at the farm. We arrived around noon and spent 3-4 hours there. When you first arrive, you will go past the farm stands where you can buy fruits, veggies, cider donuts and wine from Harbes Vineyard.
There are a few play areas that you can use for no cost while you enjoy the farm stands or you can head right to the Barnyard Adventure! The Barnyard Adventure is a paid entry area at the Harbes Farm. It has 7 acres of fun for the family to enjoy!
The kids started at the bounce houses, tractor trikes, giant sand back and playground while I checked out the brochure and planned our days adventure! Most things were available to play with and check out as we pleased, but there were specific times for the pig races and singing hay rides, that we wanted to be sure to get to!

As soon as Farmer Fred came out calling for the pig races, we headed over. He sang a few kids farm songs and we shouted out the pig that we wanted to win the race, after the race, Farmer Fred threw out a few bags of kettle corn to the audience. Guess who caught his last bag! ME! YAY! it was so delicious, I even shared with the family.
After the pig races we had to decide if we wanted to have the kids join in a potato sack race, or head on for a ride on the singing hay ride! We were all looking forward to the hayride, so we went and got on line there. The kids and adults LOVED it! We toured the border of the farm and got to see and learn all about the Harbes family farm and hear Hayride Singer, Jennifer, sing country and farm songs! She had a list of requests we could make, but everyone on our trip trusted her to just sing what came to her!

After the hayride, the kids were itching for some animal fun! Harbes Family Farm has chickens, the "three little pigs", goats (that have their own playground), sheep, horses, bunnies (in their own little town), and a giant cow. Most of the animals (besides the pigs, bunnies and cow) you could feed.

There was even a wooden cow display, that you could let the kids learn how to milk!
