Sock Monster

By Jenna Slade- Macaroni Kid Saugerties-Catskill-Hudson-Rhinebeck April 13, 2015
Recently I came across the "Sock Monster" on my newsfeed.  We go through a lot of milk in our house, so I figured this was the perfect craft for us!

First I cut a mouth, cleaned out and spray painted our milk jug.  I did this on a nice sunny day, and figured I would have a craft to do on a rainy day.  Who knew it would end up being the next day?

After the cutting and spray paint was done, the craft can easily be done alone (or with a little help if you want) by your kids!

First we glued eyes on, then we made horns or ears, painted on some spots and glitter.  The site I found this idea on, Danielle's Place, has a few ideas for your monsters arms and legs, we decided to trace our hands and use foot prints!

Practice cutting skills and add some teeth...  and finish off with some hair!  We used some left over plastic table cloth, cut into strips, and added a last minute touch of glitter!
